Joining us as Assistant Design Manager, you will assist with design information and design philosophy for our new purpose-built student accommodation.
Registering received drawings on the information system, you will review the technical aspects of details put forward by architects and engineers and co-ordinate changes within the Design team to ensure best value. Producing drawings via AutoCAD drawing system, you will attend Design team meetings to co-ordinate the building process and liaise and meet with local authority planners and highways department to discuss issues. You will also co-ordinate design information in accordance with Building Regulations and audit drawing systems on site, ensuring they pass the relevant departments.
We’re looking for an individual who has education / qualifications to a level of NVQ Level 4, Degree, HND, HNC and who has extensive experience working in the construction industry. You should have good working knowledge of Building Regulations along with basic knowledge of AutoCAD drawing systems. Strong communication, negotiation and time management skills are also a must. You may be an individual who is currently working within a design consultancy, who is looking to advance your career in Design Management.
